The coast path is right on your doorstep and will take you along miles of cliff-top walking in either direction discovering beaches and coves. Britain s most southerly point on the Lizard peninsula Mullion is the largest village on the Lizard with a selection of shops restaurants cafes craft shops and art galleries. Well-known resorts of Falmouth Penzance Newquay and St. Ives are all less than 1 hour s drive away. There are attractions to suit all tastes including the fun of Flambards Theme Park in Helston the National Seal Sanctuary in Gweek and much more. After an exciting day out why not relax on the decked area with a glass of wine. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Shower room: with WC. Lounge/kitchen/diner: open-plan with TV DVD hi-fi cooker microwave fridge with ice compartment and laundry facilities are available in the shared laundry room. Outside: south-facing enclosed decked area with garden furniture and a shared lawn (about an acre) where there is a BBQ area and you can enjoy the fantastic views over Mullion cove. Amenities: allocated parking for 1 car. Bed linen electric and electric heating included. Towels for hire. Regret no smoking. 1 dog welcome. Additional info: short breaks are charged at 80% of the weekly cost for 3 nights 85% for 4 nights and 90% for 5 nights. Location: pub and shop 1 mile. North Cornwall
Wilder and more rugged than the south of the county, North Cornwall is a land of
tall headlands, sandy beaches and empty moorland – yours to explore from one of
our holiday cottages in North Cornwall. The busy resort of Newquay is a major attraction,
with its glorious beaches and fantastic conditions for surfers. Nearby Perranporth
also boasts some fantastic beaches, perfect for sun-lovers. You’ll find many more
lovely beaches, like those at Bude for example, waiting for you on one of our North
Cornwall cottage holidays. This part of Cornwall has become a bit of a mecca for
food lovers too. Rick Stein has put Padstow on the map and more chefs, including
Jamie Oliver, are joining him, attracted by the quality of the ingredients available
locally. Then there is St. Ives, long a haunt of artists drawn here by the wonderful
light and inspiring scenery. A cottage holiday in North Cornwall puts you in touch
with history from ancient celtic times to the days of the smugglers. Tintagel Castle,
rumoured to be the birthplace of King Arthur, sits high on a cliff and still has
a strange air of mystery about it.
South Cornwall
Wonderful scenery, a mild climate, sparkling blue seas and charming seaside villages
make South Cornwall a firm favourite for cottage holidays whatever the season. And
we have a fabulous choice of holiday cottages in South Cornwall from which to make
the most of this lovely part of the country. The Cornish Riviera takes in some of
South Cornwall’s most popular resorts and many of our holiday cottages in South
Cornwall are located nearby. Picturesque Fowey is a haven for sailors, while the
Roseland Peninsula is a noted beauty spot. Mevagissey, St. Mawes and St. Just are
all well worth a visit. Not to be missed is the Eden Project, a fascinating recreation
of different biospheres, featuring a wide variety of exotic plantlife. You should
also make time for a trip to atmospheric St. Michael’s Mount and on to Land’s End,
the most westerly point in England. The county town of Truro has a lovely cathedral
and some excellent shopping opportunities, while Penzance is a bustling resort,
famed for its warm weather and sub-tropical plants. And do make sure you sample
the pasties, saffron cake and clotted cream – all local delicacies, – during your
cottage holiday.
